GPT-6 Sol and Luna
OpenAI built Sol for complex coding and Luna for smaller tasks. Luna costs less for people building apps. Both are rolling out in Codex, OpenAI's coding app, and ChatGPT Work. They are not in regular ChatGPT chat yet.
Why this matters
Claude users can test Opus 5.5 on a task that used to take several tries. Codex users can start with Luna for a small change and use Sol for work across several files. If you use neither, you can wait. Release claims alone are not a reason to change apps.
